Of Air and Ear

September 14, 2008

Yesterday I went to see a performance in the Royal Opera House. »Of Air and Ear« was part of the »Deloitte Ignite 08« Festival. Situated in the ceiling of the Paul Hamlyn Hall was a live sculpture, created by visual artist Sophie Clements. The visuals reacted to a live performance by Robin Rimbaud (also known as Scanner) and live percussion by Pete Lockett.

First I thought it wasn´t that exciting but when the music and especially the percussion went really intense it got much better. I really liked the projected picture of the woman and the coloured shapes. It would be interesting to see what else you could do with a sculpture and projector like that. Unfortunatly it´s quite expensive.

  1. Great you could make it along. Just so you know all the music was performed live, no DJing going on there, all original stuff 🙂

Glad you enjoyed it in the end, it was a long night for us all!

    Thanks for the support.

    Best wishes
